History

Recreational ice hockey klub Drvene Nogice (Peg Legs) Belgrade came to existance midway through 80′s. Founders were passionate lovers of the world fastest sport, same as ex hockey players. In the 1988/89 there was a fusion of two groups of recreational players who played independently at the “Pionir” ice rink. Each team consisted of approx. 12 members, so the fusion helped greatly in game speed and quallity increase. At that time we used to play hockey on frozen lakes, and often on an open ice rink “DIF”. The way we played was 6 on 6 if the goalies dont turn up, or properly 5 on 5 with goalies. This went on like this until season 1991/92 when some members left the country. During the 90′s there were a lot of interceptions in seasons, and changes in number of players. Finally, since 1999/2000 season the team settled in number of players and from that moment on the situation is getting ever better.
